2017 Genesis Coupe Twin Turbo – The next generation of Genesis Coupe will have a new engine that brings more power to the sport sedan. The implant of the engine is positively confirmed at Chicago automotive show this year. You’d better stay here because we’ll try to uncover the new Genesis coupe in more specific.
2017 Genesis Coupe Twin Turbo Specs
When the new Genesis Coupe was brought in at the auto show, it had a list of explanation about the use of 3.3-L Hyundai’s twin turbo engine along with some pictures displayed on screen. Next, a tester was caught and carried a label which was translatable as the new engine, ie. 3.3 liter displacement with twin turbocharged engine and all-wheel drive system, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The original label bears a “test car” with “3.3T 8AT AWD” code.
The new engine will make the next Genesis Coupe more powerful. For comparison, the current 3.8-L displacement V6 has an ability to release 348 hp. The new engine, the twin turbocharged 3.3-L V6 will boost the power up to 480 hp. This will position the coupe as the rival for BMW M4 or Lexus RC F.
2017 Genesis Coupe Twin Turbo Exterior and Interior Design
From the tester, we can see that the new 2017 Genesis Coupe Twin Turbo will have a new grille and fog lamps design. The rear part seems to be the same as the previous, with dual trapezoid exhaust tips. This car will still have a pleasing look as always.
As for the interior, we have no exact data at this moment. The interior will probably remain the same though some parts will likely be retouched. There will be three-spoke leathered and mounted steering wheel with two electroluminescent cluster displays underneath.
This new coupe will have two-row seat to carry four persons. There will be a lot of advanced infotainment features ready to entertain all of the passengers along the journey. The safety sector includes multiple airbags, driver assistance like traction control, braking system, electronic stability control, parking assist, rear view camera, and a lot more. There is a probability that the new Genesis Coupe will feature the newest Hyundai’s technology.

2017 Genesis Coupe Twin Turbo Pricing and Release Date
We think it’s too early to talk about the price. With the new powertrain, the next Genesis Coupe will have a considerable increase in pricing. We estimate that the MSRP will be set around $ 40 thousand. The release date is not yet announced. Hyundai only hinted that the manufacturing will be at the end of 2017. If it’s not labelled as 2017 Genesis Coupe Twin Turbo, then it will carry 2018 model year label.
