2017 VW Tiguan – If you are planning to buy a compact SUV, don’t hesitate to consider the 2017 VW Tiguan. This car will come with a new look. It will also have a massive redesign that make a better performance.
2017 VW Tiguan Exterior
We’ll meet the Tiguan with its new face. The hood is sculpted with a different shape. A new grille and new bumper take the place in the front end. The headlamps are also redesigned along with the rectangular fog lamps that replace the rounded shape lamps.
From the side, we can see a slightly different fender and new wheels accent. The side skirt and the door crease have been changed too. The rear glass hour also changes a bit.
The rear side is not immune from changing. The rear bumper has a new style. We’ll find new L-letter shape tail lamps replace the previously oval shaped lamps. This car has dual rounded exhaust tips.

VW decides to make the new Tiguan bigger in size. The car grows 2.4 inches longer and 1.2 inches wider. It’s also brought lower by 1.3 inches. The wheelbase has an extension of 3.0 inches. This car now becomes about 100 pounds lighter due to new underpinnings. Furthermore, VW plans to introduce a longer wheelbase that’s capable of holding seven passenger seats next fall.

The larger size ensures a more spacious cabin. The leg room for the rear passenger has 1.15 inches extension. The rear seats becomes more adjustable. The cockpit along with the center console have a clean look and promise ergonomics.
The infotainment will be standard, while the safety system will have some new features. You can have pedestrian monitoring system and emergency braking city mode come standard. A system called post-collision braking that operates automatically will be ready to use.
2017 VW Tiguan Specs
The details about the new Tiguan engine is still in the company’s hand. For European market, there will be eight engine variants offered; four using gasoline and another four using diesel displacement. The gas fueled engines have four-cylinder TSI and each will put out 123, 148, 178 and 217 horsepower. They will be paired with FWD or AWD system. The new Tiguan will be able to tow up to 5,500 pounds.
2017 VW Tiguan Release Date and Price
The Tiguan is supposed to meet its fan in the market somewhere next year. The release date is not yet announced. The starting price will be around $26,000. The upcoming Tiguan will compete with Mazda CX-5 and Honda CRV.
